It does not get any simpler than this! The following is a list of the steps for fried Oreos recipe to prepare a unique sweet dish for sweet-tooths:

  1. In a mixing bowl, mix the ingredients and whisk until you get a smooth mixture.
  2. After mixing the batter, dip the Oreo biscuits one by one in the batter, and by using a fork, take out the cookie from the batter. Remember to remove all the excess dripping batter. However, do not tap the cookie against the bowl to remove extra batter as it can drip off the cookie’s batter as well.
  3. In a deep frying pan, heat the oil to around 176°C and drop the battered Oreo into it. Don’t be shy to use a little extra oil for properly “deep frying” the Oreos. Keep the oil at least 3-inches deep in the frying pan.
  4. Fry the Oreos for about 3 to 4 minutes, each side until you see them turning golden brown.
  5. Then, take them out and put them aside to cool on a paper towel platter to remove excess oil.
  6. Lastly, when they are cool enough, sprinkle powdered sugar on them!

Fried Oreo Cookie Suggestions

  • A thick layer of batter should be coated around the cookies, for which the batter should be wide enough to make a layer around the cookies. We suggest you add a mixture of pancake to the batter to keep the consistency of the batter.
  • While deep frying the cookies, it is essential to check the temperature of the oil. If the oil is too hot, it will burn the cookies, and if the oil temperature is cold, it will get absorbed by the batter. To keep a check on the temperature, we suggest you use a thermometer.

How Long Are Fried Oreos Good?

We should eat fried Oreos within 24 hours; however, you can store them in the refrigerator for at least three days. Do not store them for more than that as they will lose moisture, which will make them softer than usual. Though you can reheat them using the oven or in the toaster.

Oreo crisps should not be made in advance and stored for too long as well. But if you have already prepared them, you can keep them in an air-tight container and put them a room temperature. They can be consumed daily with coffee and tea as cookies.

There is no specific occasion or time to enjoy fried Oreos, and you can make them round the year in any season and modify the recipe according to your taste. Make it, have it and enjoy it!
