What is it not to like about this flavorful, creamy, hearty dip. If you are wondering how much I love this recipe, you’ll be happy to know that my dinner plans were ruined. I made one of our favorite Mexican weeknight meals; BBQ Chicken Nachos. I prepped the BBQ chicken & my FAVORITE, avocado salsa; welp, sat down, and ate all the salsa & chips as a snack, completely ruining my appetite for dinner. But, I was OH, so satisfied. If you love a quick appetizer, this will be your new favorite & its so easy.
Ingredients
- 3 large diced, Avocados
- 1 finely diced, small red onion
- 1 diced, tomato
- 2 tablespoons, chopped fresh cilantro
- Grated zest and juice of one lime
- Kosher Salt & Fresh Ground Black Pepper

What You Will Need
- Avocado Slicer
- Bamboo Cutting Board
- Knife
- Guacamole Bowl
Let’s Take It Step by Step
- Start by slicing & dicing the vegetables. Dice the tomatoes, finely chop the onion, and chop the cilantro. Slice & dice the avocado; creating small cubes of avocado (try not to mash it). Zest & Juice one full lime.
- In a large bowl, gently toss the avocado, onion, tomatoes, cilantro, lime zest, lime juice, salt & pepper to taste. Do not over mix, as the avocado will start to mash & you want to keep the shape of small chunks.
- Place in your favorite Mexican dip bowl & garnish with some additional freshly cilantro.

Variations and Options
- If you want some heat, kick it up a notch & add some freshly diced jalapeno.
- Remove the avocado & you will have amazing fresh pico de gallo.
What We Suggest Pairing it With
It’s perfect as a chip dip. Try adding it to salmon or chicken dishes. Top off a taco salad with a heaping scoop of avocado salsa in place of any dressing. This would also be a great addition to add to tortilla soup.
